Climate neutrality by offsetting CO2 emissions is one possibility. However, our understanding of "real" climate neutrality goes one step further. Our goal is to minimise CO2 emissions wherever it is within our own control. And only then to rely on compensatory measures.
Many companies think they are already climate neutral because they offset their CO2 emissions. We cannot avoid offsetting measures either. But we want more - and are striving for true climate neutrality by 2030 for all CO2 emissions in Scope 1 and 2 according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, which we can influence directly or indirectly through energy-related factors.
