Theben DALI-2 presence sensors from theRonda, thePassa and PlanoSpot series can now also be used in wireless Casambi systems for lighting control. This is based on a Casambi control modules as an interface between the DALI bus and Casambi-compatible luminaires. Adaptations to the presence sensors are not necessary. Optionally, the Casambi module can also be used as a DALI-2 actuator. Casambi allows wired DALI-2 systems to be extended wirelessly. This opens up new, flexible possibilities for retrofitting existing DALI-2 lighting control systems, for example in offices, conference rooms, hotels and other buildings.
The LIGA.AIT.DALI.Theben module enables the switching and dimming of up to 50 DALI devices in broadcast mode. The input voltage range is 100-240 volts AC. An output current of up to max. 100mA is possible on the DALI bus. The maximum power consumption is only 3 W. The compact ABS housing (38 x 38 x 26mm) enables simple installation in a flush-mounted box or cable duct. Thanks to protection class IP64, the module can also be used in damp rooms.
Casambi is based on Bluetooth Low Energy, which can be found in all modern smartphones, tablets and smartwatches. The technology forms a mesh network that enables robust, encrypted device-to-device communication within a lighting network. Over-the-air updates allow new functions to be installed on all installed devices. Countless component manufacturers and over 300 luminaire manufacturers with over 1,000 products are already part of the Casambi ecosystem. All Casambi Ready products can be configured and controlled via the Casambi app.
