(Haigerloch, December 19, 2023) The ground-breaking ceremony for Theben AG's new logistics centre has taken place: the company is expanding its production site in the Madertal industrial estate in Haigerloch.

The official ground-breaking ceremony marks the start of a major real estate project for Theben AG. The state-of-the-art logistics centre at the Haigerloch site will be the company's new logistics backbone. From Madertal, Theben products and systems are exported all over the world: Europe and the Middle East to Asia and Australia, Theben exports its solutions for sustainable and intelligent buildings. "'Made in Germany' is a globally recognised quality feature. "We want to respond even better to this global interest in our products in the future,” explains Michael Matthesius, Chief Technology Officer. But it is not only internationally that there is great interest: the fact that all buildings need to become more sustainable and energy-efficient is an open secret. The new logistics centre will also make efficient use of resources. Efficiency is also the keyword for intralogistics, which will be optimised with the new building. In the new building, internal processes such as short distances and efficient material flows are implemented in the best possible way. "With photovoltaics, a heat pump and smart building technology from Theben, this new building is ideally equipped for the challenges of the future," assures Michael Matthesius. The architectural firm Schmelzle + Partner from Hallwangen in the Black Forest was commissioned to realise the new building.
Buildings are becoming more sustainable
"With our CONEXA smart meter gateway, we are making a significant contribution to the energy transition. But our actuators and sensors for KNX building system technology and the LUXORliving smart home system not only make buildings smarter, they also make them significantly more sustainable," says Paul Sebastian Schwenk, CEO and 4th member of the Executive Board. The commitment to the location and the associated safeguarding of existing jobs and creation of additional ones are the focus for Theben in terms of the positive development for the region.
